Kountdown Day 66: Phyllis
Phyllis was one of our Karavan Studio belly dancers during her year in San Antonio from 2013 to 2014.
Phylliss will be participating in the “K for K Drum Solo” Kollage via video on Friday night, July 15 and shares with us a little about her life outside belly dancing.
"I am a hospice and palliative medicine physician and assistant professor at UT Health Science Center in Houston, and care for seriously ill and dying patients and their families.
I have ALWAYS loved dance but was raised in a religious community in which dance was regarded as sinful.
I can exercise without going to the gym, study without going to the library, worship without going to church, but I cannot dance without Karen! And so I have not been belly dancing since moving back to Houston. :-("
